Track 2. Orthodontics:

Orthodontics division of dentistry dealing with the prevention and correction of irregularities of the teeth generally entailing the straightening of crooked teeth or the correcting of a poor bite or, malocclusion physiologically unacceptable contact of opposing dentition which may be caused by imperfect development, loss of teeth, or abnormal growth of jaws. Dental hygiene is the practice of keeping the mouth, teeth, and gums clean and healthy to prevent disease. Dental hygiene and oral health are often taken for granted but are essential parts of our everyday lives. The purpose of oral hygiene is to prevent the buildup of plaque, the sticky film of bacteria and food that forms on the teeth. It is clear that oral diseases play a significant role in compromising health potential.

Track 4. Diet & Oral Health:

Your diet affects many aspects of the body, including the mouth. Consuming food and drink that are high in sugars puts you at risk for tooth decay. When sugars come into contact with plaque on the teeth, it creates acid that attacks and destroys the protective enamel coating on the surface. However, there are ways to help your teeth stay healthy.

Track 5. Oral Cancer:

Oral cancer, disease characterized by the growth of cancerous cells in the mouth, including the lips. Oral cancer is often associated with cancers of the cavity located behind the tonsils and the back of the throat oropharyngeal cancer. Most cases originate from the flattened cells that make up the lining of the oral cavity (squamous cell carcinomas). Oral cancers can spread into the jaw and may occur simultaneously with cancers of the larynx, esophagus, or lungs.

Track 6. Maxillofacial Prosthodontics:

Maxillofacial prosthodontics a subspecialty of prosthodontics, is concerned with the correction of deformities of the face and head and restoration of normal function by means of prostheses. Deformities may be congenital, acquired through trauma or surgical treatment as of cancer, or developmental stemming from some other disorder. Prostheses are also used as an interim measure to correct defects until surgical reconstruction can be undertaken.

Track 7. Dentofacial Orthopedics:

Dentofacial orthopedics is one of twelve recognized dental specialties which requires advanced education, practice, and research. The dentofacial orthopedics methods are usually applied to children before orthodontic treatment or braces, as these tools can help guide jaw development during growth.

Track 8. Restorative Dentistry:

Restorative dentistry is a popular branch of dentistry focused on diagnosing and treating problems with the teeth and gums as well as the appearance of the teeth. Even though some of the procedures performed are similar to cosmetic dentistry procedures, restorative dentists also provide a lot of treatments that cosmetic dentists do not, especially treatments that require surgery.
